These projects envisage the construction of new processing plants and an increase in the capacity of existing enterprises.

Alla Stoyanova, director of the Department of Agrarian Policy, Food and Land Relations of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this at a briefing at the Ukrainian Media Center in Odessa.

"We are considering several investment projects that involve the construction of a new processing plant for the production of products such as tomatoes and the increase of the capacities of existing enterprises, for example, large enterprises such as "Vitmark Ukraine", - says Alla Stoyanova.

The director of the department also noted that the priority is to support the territories whose irrigation systems were damaged as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation. These are Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"In the Kherson region, almost complete destruction, Zaporizhzhia - 65%, Dnipropetrovsk region - about 80%. The only system that works 100% and is not damaged is ours. Odesa was selected as a pilot region for the restoration and modernization of irrigation systems. We receive state support in this direction."

Alla Stoyanova also explained that the agrarians of Odesa region feel the situation, use it and adapt to their needs. For example, sensing the need for vegetable and melon crops, Odesa region significantly increased their area.
