Odesa region is a promising market for cooperation and investments.
The Department of Investment and Foreign Economic Activity, International Cooperation and Tourism of the Odesa Regional Administration reported this and the following.
Companies operating in Odesa region have already started implementing long-term plans and are investing in logistics, transshipment terminals and warehouse complexes.
For example, as part of the diversification of export activities, the Nibulon company is completing the construction of a new terminal for transshipment of grain cargoes on the Danube in the city of Izmail. In the immediate plans of the Danube Logistics Group company is the construction of floor storage warehouses in the port of Rheny.
Another clear evidence of trust is the decision made last September by the group of companies "RISOIL S.A." (Switzerland) regarding the resumption of the final works on the implementation of the investment project for the construction of a bilateral pier at the junction of two piers in the Black Sea seaport with a targeted amount of direct foreign investment of 40 million US dollars", - said Deputy Director of the Department of Investment and Foreign Economic Activities, International Cooperation and Tourism Inna Bejenar
The most attractive sectors of the regional economy for attracting foreign capital, both today and in the future, are transport, logistics, industry, alternative energy and the IT sphere. And of course - the agricultural sector! Since the provision of food to countries and people comes to the fore and becomes one of the main world problems, and the demand for domestic food does not decrease, accordingly, the investment attractiveness of Ukraine in the agricultural sector acquires special weight.
"Regarding the agro-industrial complex, the trends should change with an orientation not only to the cultivation of agricultural crops, but also to an increase in the level of processing into value-added products. And in this context, in particular, the mechanism of creating industrial parks, which provide a number of fiscal benefits for their residents, may be involved. As an example, an investment proposal has been prepared for the creation of an industrial park "AgroTechnopark "Bujak" on the territory of the Suvoriv community in the Izmail district, on an area of 17.3 hectares.
Specialists of the Department are also continuing work on the creation of an updated Investment Passport of the Odesa region, which will collect all important information about a high-quality regional investment product, formed on the basis of the economic and natural resource potential of each specific community. The investment passport will not be a report on the community or the region as a whole, but information designed for potential investors, which should somehow "hook" them.
Because the interest of the entrepreneur is to make a profit, the interest of the community is to strengthen its own capacity. In the future, the Investment Passport of our region will be distributed among interested domestic and international business associations, chambers of commerce and diplomatic missions", - adds I.
