From May 28, 2024, the Law of Ukraine No. 3563-IX (Project Law 9627), which simplifies the procedure for changing the purpose of agricultural land to industrial or energy purposes, is in effect.
At the Kyiv International Economic Forum, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Economic Development, Dmytro Kysylevsky, reported that 171 enterprises and local communities in 14 regions have already taken advantage of this opportunity.
Main results to date:
- 1,050 hectares of land were reclassified;
- 434 ha for renewable energy projects;
- 385 hectares for production and logistics;
- 121 hectares for industrial parks;
- 110 hectares for other purposes.
A process that used to take 1-3 years now takes only about 1.5 months — a real breakthrough for accelerating investment in industry and green energy.
