187.7 thousand purchase and sale transactions were concluded from the opening of the land market until November 2023.
This is evidenced by the KSE Agricultural Center data in the new edition of the analytical review of the Ukrainian land market, prepared with the support of the USAID Agrarian and Rural Development Program - AGRO.
As noted, in general, the agreements were concluded in relation to lands with a total area of more than 412.6 thousand hectares, which is 0.99% of all agricultural lands in Ukraine, which generally corresponds to the indicator of developed economies.
“Prices for all agricultural land were little changed in November 2023, down less than one percent from the previous month. At the same time, prices for land for commercial agricultural production (the so-called commercial land) remained unchanged. Such monthly price fluctuations are normal. In dollar terms, land prices show a slight increase due to the strengthening of the hryvnia against the dollar,” explains the KSE Agrocenter.
“Consequently, the demand for marketable land is higher than for other types of agricultural land in Ukraine,” experts explain.
As in previous months, purchase and sale transactions in November 2023 were concluded mainly with commercial land (52%) and land for private farming (42%).
