A controlling stake in the Odessa Orion plant was proposed for privatization with a starting price of over UAH 7 million.
This was reported by the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
The state owns more than 2.8 million shares of the Orion plant, which is a controlling stake - 50% of the authorized capital + 1 share.
The company includes 52 real estate objects - administrative buildings and industrial premises.
The main activity of the company is the leasing and management of real estate, which is owned or leased. PrJSC has 75 lease agreements until December 31, 2022 and one lease agreement until April 30, 2023. At the same time, revenue in 2021 is UAH 7.6 million, and the loss of PJSC is UAH 10 million.
The head of the regional divisions of the SPFU in Odessa and Nikolaev regions, Alexander Slavsky, noted that the privatization of this asset will change the life of the entire microdistrict. When this area was depressive, and now residential areas are being built here and a new life is emerging, - he noted.
The auction is scheduled for October 12 with a starting price of UAH 7 million 425 thousand.
Machine-building production association "Orion" was established in 1973.
The plant specializes in the production of household refrigeration equipment and compressors for vehicles, commercial refrigeration equipment. The plant has been virtually non-operational since 2004. In October 2021, the unfinished part of the plant was privatized, 6 participants took part in the auction, and the price was increased from UAH 10 to UAH 21 million.
