The second stage of the elevator project was completed this year.
The Viking-Yug elevator was built by the ZOLOTOY UROZHAY company. The complex is located near the Odessa port, adjacent to the Kyiv-Odessa highway and the Leski railway station. Its total capacity is 105 thousand tons. It will be able to receive up to 8 thousand tons of grain by road and rail per day (up to 55 wagons per day).
The territory is equipped with 14 PRADO silos (Spain), AGI equipment (Italy) and Bühler cleaning systems (Switzerland). There are also certified laboratories responsible for quality control of the main export crops - wheat, corn, soybeans, rapeseed, barley.
The company decided to build an elevator because “the Odessa port does not have sufficient capacity to store agricultural products, and the market requires additional capacity – an alternative to port storage.”
In addition to storage, the company also performs logistics functions: cargo handling, delivery to the port, packaging of fertilizers and preparation of export containers. The company plans to reach full production capacity in 2025.
